Motto: “The flora of liminal space winds its way between the fields and hedgerows.”

An ethnographic exhibit by the National Museum offered a direct opportunity for the creation of Vinek, which is Hanus’s homage to Mother Nature, as well as a certain synthesis of his work. Through the theme of a laurel wreath with its tying, stringing, braiding and celebration of natural motifs, the artist returns to traditional values. “I’m drawn to the theme of connection. In between meadows and fields, I looked for plants like grains, breadseed poppies, field pennycress, grasses or lilies of the valley. I decided to render their fragile beauty and evanescence using silver,” explains Hanus Lamr, adding that his attempt at binding unfettered nature is primarily a celebration of the life of plants.
